Our Story
Hi, I am Melissa Matos and I hoard cute stuff. It began during my trip to Tokyo in 2009. I found plenty of these items abroad and began hoarding these Cute hair accessories in my room.
I live in Manhattan so, naturally, I assumed I could find similar items right here in the city. My search was in vain. I did not feel like fetching a headband in a bin for $1 and watch it fall apart in front of my eyes. I would check out random boutiques and they would have great designer hair accessories. Unfortunately, these items were always too avant-garde and not accessible to the every day woman (or her wallet). That’s when I decided to set up shop. Sproos was born in May 2011!
